Frequently Asked Questions
What HS codes apply to your pipe fittings?
Carbon steel flanges are classified under HS 7307.91 and stainless steel flanges under HS 7307.21. Carbon steel butt-weld elbows and tees fall under HS 7307.93, and stainless steel butt-weld fittings under HS 7307.23. The applicable code is stated on every quotation and on the commercial invoice. Classification is confirmed by customs at destination.
What documents come with every shipment?
Every shipment is accompanied by a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and an EN 10204 Type 3.1 material test certificate (MTC) traceable to the heat number. A certificate of origin is issued on request, and a fumigation certificate is provided when wooden packaging is used. Third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas or an inspector you nominate) can be arranged before shipment.
What is the import duty on pipe fittings in Oman and the UAE?
Oman applies the GCC Common External Tariff of 5% on the CIF value for steel pipe fittings under HS 7307, plus 5% VAT — approximately 10.25% of the CIF value in total. The UAE applies the same GCC 5% tariff and 5% VAT. Since January 2026 customs declarations in Oman are filed electronically through the Bayan (e-Bayan) system; in the UAE, declarations are filed through Dubai Customs or the relevant emirate portal. Duty and VAT are paid by the importer; we provide the full document set to support clearance. Figures are given as a general reference and should be confirmed with your customs broker.
What is the import duty on pipe fittings in Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabia applies the GCC Common External Tariff of 5% on the CIF value, plus 15% VAT — approximately 20.75% of the CIF value in total. Import clearance and any product conformity requirements are handled by the importer or the appointed customs broker. We provide the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and EN 10204 3.1 MTC. Figures are given as a general reference and should be confirmed with your customs broker.
What is the import duty on pipe fittings in the United Arab Emirates?

Can you support e-Bayan filing in Oman?
We issue the documents required for e-Bayan filing: commercial invoice with HS code, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and MTC. The declaration itself is filed by the importer or the importer’s customs broker through the Bayan system. If your broker needs a document in a particular format, tell us before shipment and we will issue it accordingly.
Can you issue a certificate of origin, and chamber of commerce or embassy attestation?
Yes. A certificate of origin is issued with the shipment on request. Chamber of commerce attestation (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) and embassy legalisation can be arranged; both involve an additional fee and extra processing time, so please confirm the requirement at order stage.
Who pays the import duty and VAT at destination?
Import duty and VAT in the destination country are paid by the importer, unless the shipment is booked on DDP terms, which we can quote on request. Our quotations are given on EXW, FOB or CIF basis as agreed, and the full document set for clearance is provided in every case.
