A234 WPB is the standard carbon steel fitting material for seamless and welded butt-weld fittings — WPB stands for weldable, pressure applications, grade B. Every fitting ships with an EN 10204 3.1 material test certificate traceable to the heat number stamped on the piece. Our factory holds ISO 9001 and API certificates, and third-party inspection by SGS or BV is welcome before dispatch.

What does WPB mean in A234 WPB?
WPB is the grade: W stands for weldable, P for pressure applications, B for minimum yield strength Grade B (35,000 psi). It is the most common carbon steel grade for ASME B16.9 butt-weld fittings.
Seamless or welded — which one do I get?
Seamless fittings are standard up to NPS 24; welded fittings cover larger sizes. Both are hot-formed from A234 WPB material and carry the same certificate. Tell us your line size and we confirm which type suits your schedule.
What wall thicknesses are available?
Schedules 10, 20, 40, STD, 80, XS, 160, XXS are all produced. Wall thickness for each size follows the ASME B16.9 tables, and ends are bevelled to ASME B16.25.
What documents ship with an A234 WPB elbow order?
An EN 10204 Type 3.1 material test certificate traceable to the heat number on each fitting, packing list, commercial invoice and certificate of origin. SGS or BV inspection can be arranged before dispatch.
