Certificate / What it covers / Valid until / How to check
Quality starts at the mill
Our factory holds API Q1 and ISO 9001. This page sets out what those certificates cover, what is checked before shipment, and which documents travel with the goods.
Certificate copies are provided on request, and are sent exactly as issued, so any of them can be checked with the issuing authority rather than taken on trust.
Certificates
| Certificate | What it covers | Valid until | How to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| API Q1 (9th Edition) | Quality management system for oil and gas manufacturing organisations | 2027-10-29 | API certification listings |
| ISO 9001 | Quality management system | 2027-04-11 | Certification body register |
| ISO 14001 | Environmental management system | 2027-06-01 | Certification body register |
| ISO 45001 | Occupational health and safety management system | 2027-06-01 | Certification body register |
| China Special Equipment Production Licence — pressure piping components | Legal licence to manufacture pressure piping components | 2028-01-05 | Issuing authority record |
| CCS Works Approval — China Classification Society | Piping components for shipbuilding and offshore projects | 2030-03-17 | CCS register |
| Anti-corrosion coating manufacturing certificate (3PE / 3PP / FBE) | External anti-corrosion coating of piping components | 2030-06-28 | Issuing authority record |
Certificate copies are sent on request, and we recommend asking for them before the first order rather than after.
Inspection and testing
Our factory is equipped for the examination its quality system requires:
- Material verification — chemical composition checked by spectral analysis on each heat
- Mechanical testing — tensile, impact and hardness testing to the applicable material standard
- Hydrostatic testing — carried out where the specification calls for it, to the agreed test pressure
- Non-destructive testing — MT and PT on bevelled ends; UT and RT available on request
- Dimensional examination — dimensions and tolerances checked against the ASME tables applicable to the product
- Marking and identification — heat number stamping verified before packing
Any additional testing your project specification requires is quoted and arranged at enquiry stage, not discovered at the inspection.
Documents shipped with every order
EN 10204 3.1 material test certificate, issued per batch and traceable to the heat number. It shows the heat number, the chemical analysis, the mechanical properties, the heat treatment condition and the dimensions examined.
Alongside it:
- Packing list
- Certificate of Origin, available on request
- Third-party inspection reports, when you appoint an inspector
- Any project-specific documents named in your purchase order
Every fitting carries its heat number stamp, so a certificate can be traced back to the piece in your hand.
How an order is checked
Raw material. Steel arrives with its own mill certificate, and the heat number follows the batch from this point on.
Forming and heat treatment. Forming parameters and heat treatment cycles are recorded against the batch, to the requirements of the material standard.
Machining. Flange faces, bores and bevels are machined to the dimensional standard, then measured.
Final examination. Dimensions, appearance and marking are checked before packing. Additional NDT is carried out where it has been specified.
Packing. Packed for sea freight, with photographs of the packed crates sent before dispatch.
Third-party inspection
SGS, BV or your nominated inspector is welcome before dispatch. Tell us who is coming and what scope you want covered, and the visit is arranged before loading.
We would rather you looked than not.
Certificate copies
Ask for the certificate copies and a sample 3.1 test certificate before you order. That is the fastest way to confirm everything written on this page.

Certificate of Conformance
Each shipment comes with a certificate of conformance issued in our own name. It states the purchase order, the product description, the material grade, the applicable ASME or ASTM standard, the heat numbers supplied, and the quantity, and it confirms that the goods have been manufactured and inspected to those requirements.
